Stay Wild Ep. #8 with Bandana Tewari

Hey little humans, I’m Norma Jean and welcome to Stay Wild! This is episode 8 with today’s guest, Bandana Tewari. Bandana is the Editor-at-Large of Vogue India who aims to educate Indian consumers about international luxury brands with perspective of Indian culture and heritage. She is a fashion journalist who believes that choosing your clothing is like painting yourself and transforming yourself into someone that you want people to see you as. “Clothing is important. It does say a lot about you.” On this episode, she explains the world of fashion and the life of a designer. She gives us a better picture of Indian fashion, fabric and traditions. She also explains ethical fashion, sartorial integrity, environmental standards and the “behind the scene” stories of the clothing we wear. “I’m obsessed with T-shirts. I love the idea of the T-shirt and I love the comfort of the T-shirt.” Bandana encourages people to know who made the clothes they buy and where it came from. She introduces a website, Fashion Revolution, where you can learn about the origins of your clothes using #whomademyclothes. She is a believer of “People over Products”.
