Hey little humans, I’m Norma Jean and welcome to Stay Wild! This is episode 16 with today’s guest, Jeremiah Ridenour. Jeremiah is an organic pioneer and food entrepreneur. He is obsessed with new food products or redesigns, otherwise, old food products. “I always try to work on the nutritional side. So, it's not just something you eat to make you full, but something that has nutritional benefits.” He considers himself a serial entrepreneur and in fact has made it big in the industry. He also advocates in the support of local farmers and encourages the relationship with them. “If you are educated about where your meat comes from, you feel better.” On this episode, Jeremiah shares his tofu eureka, the art and his romance with the making of tofu, soymilk, and tempeh. He is currently living a “sweet life” in Bali and shares his study on coconut sugar and interests in sugarcane juice. He shares how he once created a successful company and sold it, met an accident, and eventually settled down. As they have put it, "the island has a way of slowing you down when you need to." Hey little humans, I’m Norma Jean and welcome to Stay Wild! This is episode 15 with today’s guest, Lindsey Wise. Lindsey is a doula or a birth companion, a vocal coach, and teacher in a yoga school who started traveling the world at an early age. She decided to skip university to fulfill her passion for music and to enjoy life. “Life was the most beautiful university that I could ever be a part of!” Aside from being a vocal coach, she works with other people to inspire them with their music. It was in fact music that brought her to different places. Through her travels and experiences, she was able to achieve a state of inner peace, where, as she described, was a place where there were no questions, nor answers. “I went and traveled, and allowed the universe to introduce me to my teachers.” In this episode, Lindsey shares her birthing experience, and how a lady who once appeared in her dream brought her to the beautiful place of Bali, where she now lives with her husband and kids. She created a to-do list of all the amazing things she wanted to get done. Over the years, everything in her list began manifesting, all because she asked and worked for it. She developed the use of silicon quartz crucibles into dynamic life activation formulas for personalized spiritual growth, health, and harmony. She is a crystal sound therapist who helps people reconnect with their inner harmony by listening to the resonating sound of crystal. “My whole belief in how to bring the world back into harmony led me into the world of crystals.” During the episode, she tells us the story of how she got into crystal sound meditation. She explains the science behind these crystal bowls and how its sound transforms people. He gets into the biophysics of these meditations – how it connects with the inner body. Cathy is an entrepreneur mom, a party planning pro, a mindfulness teacher, and a TV personality who wants to bring joy into every person’s life. She is the creator of Joy Boxes, which is filled with delightful items that will bring joy into your daily lives. By planning several parties, she felt the joy in people and wanted to extend this joy and make it more consistent. As a child, a kind lady did something special for her that sparked the desire within her to spread JOY. “A selfless Samaritan who did this one act of kindness that changed my life. It set me in a forward motion to pay that forward.” On this episode, she talks about the inspiration behind Joy Boxes and how she came up with the idea. Lisa is a clothing designer who founded a conscious clothing line here in Bali called “Warriors of the Divine” which is sold around the world. She makes handmade clothing inspired by an ancient Indonesian craft. The highlight of her wonderful collection is the Angel Wing Kimonos. For her, this is not just a label. It brings a powerful purpose – encouraging other women to express their selves as Divine. “The label became about me encouraging other women to talk about these connections and divine experiences that we have.” On this episode, she talks about the inspiration behind the Angel Wing Kimonos. She tells the story of how Angel Gabriel gave him all the signs to pursue this business. She came to Bali with $1000 debt, a single mother, and relied on miracles. Hey little humans, I’m Norma Jean and welcome to Stay Wild! This is episode 9 with guest, Brynne Obeid. Brynne is a Middle Grade Educator, a Social Emotional Learning Enthusiast, and a long-term Bali Expat. She has been living in Ubud, Bali for 6 years. Her journey as a teacher, experiencing different values and cultures, has brought her into social emotional learning which teaches the children to develop empathy, resolve conflicts peacefully, and deepen relationships. “How do you create your own personal identity when you’ve got all of these different aspects coming together?” On this episode, she explains what social emotional learning is all about and how she came across this work. She also explains the difference between a third culture kid and a cross cultural kid, as well as the difference between being rude and being a bully. Teaching children with diverse cultural backgrounds has taught her a great deal about life. “You don’t have to look back to your tribe, to your country, and their values, and their culture, and their language, to know what you like.” Brynne tells her story as a long-term expat. She brings us alongside her journey on how she ended up in Bali. She is a fashion journalist who believes that choosing your clothing is like painting yourself and transforming yourself into someone that you want people to see you as. “Clothing is important. It does say a lot about you.” On this episode, she explains the world of fashion and the life of a designer. She gives us a better picture of Indian fashion, fabric and traditions. Kristen is the founder of Heal Anywhere which helps people heal through singing, writing poetry, meditating, yoga, listening to nature and tapping into their own intuition. She’s a sound healer who uses music and sound in rebalancing people’s energy. “Any kind of sound we create creates a vibration; and we intentionally use that vibration to shift energy in our body.” On this episode, Kristen takes us into her journey on how she became a sound healer and how she ended up living in Bali.
